There was a time when TikTok was still new territory for CommBank. Like many brands, they weren’t making content that truly belonged on the platform, and audiences weren’t engaging.

The brief was to make CommBank fit for channel, using entertainment to bring a simple offer to life: cashback on McDonald's with Menulog.

On a Big Mac budget, I turned my apartment into a student flat and shot Macca’s Hacks on an iPhone, with a selfie ring light and a lot of fast food. The work was lo-fi, platform-native, and designed for quick engagement. And it worked. Results the bank hadn’t seen before, with view-through rates 256% above benchmark, proving that when you speak the platform’s language, even a bank can cut through.
