C’mon Aussie: Revisited.

With the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on home soil, we had a rare opportunity to honour the past, present and future of women’s cricket and rally the nation behind a team that truly deserved the spotlight.

I was proud to be part of the creative team that reimagined the iconic C’mon Aussie, C’mon anthem, originally made famous by Mojo Advertising in 1978. This time, it was all about the women’s team. Featuring the co creator Allan "Jo" Johnston, the campaign brought together cricketing legends and current stars like Ellyse Perry, Meg Lanning and Alyssa Healy.

The campaign ran across TV, OOH, radio, digital and social, with the TVC at its heart. The reworked track was also released on streaming platforms. I created the social content for the campaign, working directly with players to produce engaging, platform specific assets that amplified the anthem and built national support in the lead up to the final. It all built towards a push to fill the MCG. The result was a record crowd of 86,174, the highest ever attendance for a women’s sporting event in Australia.

The campaign reached over 10.8M people through PR and gave the anthem a powerful new legacy.
