For 25 years, CommBank has proudly supported the Clown Doctors, amazing humans who bring laughter to sick kids, their families and hospital staff across Australia. To mark this incredible milestone, we needed to create something unique and heartfelt. So we thought why not make a choir sing something bloody happy?

The Clown Choir was born, a collaboration between the Clown Doctors, the Hummingsong Choir, and CommBank staff, reimagining “When You’re Smiling” in a performance that captured the warmth, humour and connection the Clown Doctors bring to hospitals every day.

Filmed at the Sustainable Classroom in Randwick Sustainability Park, the performance became the heart of a campaign across CommBank’s social and internal channels and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for The Humour Foundation.
